Benta Edible Oil Sdn Bhd
Benta Edible Oil Sdn Bhd (BEOSB) was incorporated in May 2019 and wholly-owned by Benta Wawasan Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary company under Innoprise Corporation Sdn Bhd of Yayasan Sabah Group.
The packing plant construction was started on 10 May 2019 and completed on 5 December 2019. BEOSB commenced business operation on 23 December 2019. It was officially launched by the Sabah Chief Minister on 3 February 2020.
The existing business of BEOSB is packing of palm oil based cooking oil in several packing for the consumption in Sabah, ie. 17 kg (jerry can), 5kg (bottle), 2kg (bottle) and 1kg (bottle). The cooking oil is produced from the FFB (fresh fruit bunch) harvested from the oil palm planted locally (in Tawau area) and produced locally.
We ensure all our FFB is processed within 48 hours after it is harvested from the oil palm plantation in Tawau. The whole process from harvesting FFB from the plantation to the bottled cooking oil in the supermarket only takes 14 days. Hence, we ensure the freshness and the high quality of our cooking oil.
BEOSB has appointed distributors to distribute BESS Cooking oil throughout Sabah.
The purpose of setting up of Benta Edible Oil Sdn Bhd:

To own a palm oil based cooking oil – BESS under Yayasan Sabah.

To fully utilise our resources from our land and produce product directly benefiting our people. So Sabah is self-sustain in supplying food to Sabahan.

BESS cooking oil is the first product under the brand name BESS. The purpose of BEOSB is to produce palm oil based products from Sabah and continuously supply these downstream products for retail and wholesale consumption.
